Forging Your Legacy

Every KingSmith blade begins with a conversation. I will translate your vision into a custom blade, combining traditional blacksmithing techniques with modern precision. From the initial selection of the materials, to the final hand-finished edge, the commission process ensures a tool that is as unique as the hand that wields it. I take great pride in the forging and finishing of blades, and I am excited to help your vision become a reality that you can carry and use with confidence.

Common Questions

What is the typical lead time for a custom knife?

Currently, our commission queue is approximately 8 to 12 weeks from the receipt of deposit. This timeline ensures each blade undergoes a meticulous heat treatment and hand-finishing process to meet our quality standards.

How do you determine the price of a custom blade?

Pricing starts with a base cost for your chosen steel and size. Additional factors include blade geometry, custom engravings, and the rarity of the handle materials—such as stabilized exotic woods or brass bolsters.

What is the KingSmith commission process?

It begins with a consultation and quote. Once the 50% deposit is paid, we refine the design together. During forged implementation, you'll receive milestone photo updates until the final edge is polished and ready for shipping.
